Just don't try to sell it as detached because it isn't.
Well it was described on the details as link detached. I have no interest in selling it, I plan on going out in a box so its next sale will not be my problem.

My parents bought a detached period house 40 years ago and the neighbours have changed a few times over the years. One year the neighbours attached a porch to my parents wall and my parents ignored it. The next neighbours made it more substantial until eventually it was completely enclosed and has now made their house either a semi or a link house.
My parents now want to sell and are cross that they let it happen! Is there a time limit for contesting it? I think it's been like that about 10 years.
Thanks.0 -

Usually the buyer's solicitor when they register the property. It's a tick box exercise and I've noticed many mistakes.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. "Contesting" in what way? Objecting to a planning application? They're about 10 years too late for that.0 -
Buy both neighbours houses and demolish them. Simple.0

It would be worth starting your own thread. You've bumped a year old one that is now being responded to as if it were recent.Thinking critically since 1996....0
