Facebook ads and unwanted feeds driving me mad!

I don't use Facebook very much, and I only have seven friends - they are REAL friends and relations.
However, over the past year I have been getting unwanted ads from every source you could think of, and posts appearing from Outside TV, Red Emprendeverde, Highways England, Unicef etc.
I don't want any of this, didn't ask for it, but don't seem to be able to get rid of it.
It is basically spamming, so can it be stopped?

There is a button which you can hide or Why Am I Seeing This Add you click and it gets rid of them. BUT, if you click too many you get a message telling you that you are abusing the system.:rotfl:
I get ads for companies in the US! Selling kitchens etc.0 -
Why not try Facebook Purity. It's a third party program which I have used for several years with great success:
