Hi anyone help please, ive been lucky enough to win one of the on a comp on mse but after trying to charge the battery up on my puter via the usb lead supplied, because my tower doesnt have a high speed usb port (think its a 2.0 i need ) it doesnt seem to be charging it up .
2 questions
1 if i get a 2.0 usb hub and attach it to the port on the comp will that work ?
or
2 I cant see a ac adapter/charger anywhere for this walkman do sony do one? Says its optional ?
Any help will be appreciated

You can get a USB charger that goes into the wall and has a few usb sockets on it, Link below.

A USB2 socket on your PC is 5V / 500mA the same output as the above charger.
Sony also do a mains charger which is the same but cost more money:

You could buy one of these, just plug your usb lead in to it and it will charge it up. I have used somthing similar and charged loads of devices that charge via USB.
The power supplied from a USB port is the same on a usb 1.1 and 2.0 5V+/-5%0 -

This is a lot more expensive than my recommend charger on the second post that does the same thing.0 -
Thank you all for your help - I've put it in a different USB slot and now it seems to be working so I think it's maybe a faulty USB slot on my PC.
I can't press the thank button for some reason, but thank you all :T0 -

I know the one you posted was cheaper but, If the user travels then the ability to charge usb devices with a single plug in is a huge benefit, I used to carry the chargers for the mp3 player's (2 sony ones used different connecors), mobile phones, PSP now I just take the 1 plug and the USB cables.0
