Another Universal Credit Question.

Hi there, I wondered if anyone can answer this? We might be moving house (it isn't definite yet) and if we did we'd be going from one area where Universal Credit hasn't been fully introduced to another. Would a house move count as a change of circumstances and trigger a switch to UC? We're on benefits because of my son's disability so I think it's HB, Child Tax Credits and Income Support that would be affected. Just trying to work out whether a move is feasible at the moment and having a reduced income for six weeks just after the expense of moving would be a factor.
Many thanks in advance

Yes, if the area you're moving to is a different local council then this would trigger a move to UC.Hi there, I wondered if anyone can answer this? Thank you, Poppy, for the advice and the link, I will have a good read through later on, the last thing I want is to move house and then find I've no money coming in so it's good to be prepared
Thank you again. 0 -
Don't forget you may well be entitled to less money on UC than you're getting now. You can check at entitledto.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Thank you, Ames, it will drop slightly so it is another thing to take into account; at the moment it looks like we might just manage but it's very tight and that always makes me nervous in case something unexpected happens. I'm trying to think "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst" but it is a worry. Thank you for the info

If the area you move to is not 'full service' you won't go to UC, but just check that area doesn't go 'full service' before you move.0
