Ebay viewing potential purchases

So trying to sell item on eBay auction and new rules say I cannot give outshone number or address so potential buyers cannot see item before bidding. OK on cheap items but ridiculous for higher cost things such as cars. Would you buy a car without seeing it! This is ridiculous. O know they want to prevent sales outside of eBay but there has to be another way

Unfortunately eBay were so paranoid about the amount of lost sales and fees that they have gone completely overboard on the new policy.
There is no way round it without risking your account, for larger things that need to be viewed I would personally look for another venue. All my large items now go via SHpock.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As above there is another way and that is not to use ebay, if enough sellers move to other platforms then they may have a rethink.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I doubt whether the percentage of items that need viewing are even noticeable to eBay and the volume they deal with and don't suppose for one moment that taking the items elsewhere will even make a dent in number of sales. However it doesn't seem logical to try and sell certain items on a site that obviously doesn't want them on there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay only care about tax dodging Chinese sellers flogging $10 junk (in huge volumes), if every British person selling their old furniture/wedding dress/lawnmower left they'd not be bothered."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I agree.
On collection only items it is much easier to arrange via a phone call and explain directions as well.
I do not think it will help ebay in the long term.0
