Cold wall

Evening all,
I’m a complete novice to any kind of building work so please forgive my stupidness!
We have a 3 bed, terraced house that has a very drafty external wall, under the windows in our living room. Initially, I thought the draft was coming through the window vents, but closing them hasn’t really improved the situation. The wall under the window bay is extremely cold to touch, even at floor level.
What should be my first steps to resolving this?
Thanks

Solid brick walls ?
Wooden reveals around the window ?
For solid brick walls, adding a layer of insulation would be one solution. Have a look at some of the recent threads on the subject.
If you have wooden reveals, there is a good chance that a draught is finding its way through and also under the window board - Pop the trim off and inject a small amount of expanding foam to plug the gaps. Do not try to empty the entire can as it will push the boards out and create a right mess.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Thanks for the response.
Yes it’s a solid brick wall. I will look into adding insulation.
Regarding the wooden reveals, it’s a double glazed pvc window frame, where would I find the wooden reveal?0 -
Are you certain it’s a draft and you’re not just feeling cooler air nearer the floor? Convection currents can give the false impression of a draft.0

The wooden reveals would run up each side of the window and along the top to hide the brickwork. Have a look at this image -
