Thanks for your input thus far, folks. I should have mentioned in my first post that I am likely to receive 3 PCNs in total given the driver used the car park on 3 consecutive days. Again, this was because, they were under the impression the car park was free. Had a fine been issued the 'old fashioned way', or a barrier system was in operation, the driver would have known the car park wasn't free and would have to pay, but alas I digress ...
I guess the only option I have is to fight these 3 PCNs separately and repeat the process for each?

correct , each one is a separate item and appealed separately
  • Just to be clear 'without prejudice' was not literally written on any previous correspondences.

    Easy peasy.

Use the blue text template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1, and if they don’t cancel then, get your POPLA codes and beat them there. Each one dealt with separately.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Hi Folks

It is now more than 21 days after I first contested the invoice(s). I have had one formal notification that one invoice has been cancelled and, as yet, no formal communication regarding the other which I have formally contested (but assume they can't chase me now since it's more than 21 days and they've not replied).

I've just had the third and final anticipated invoice come through my door, over 8 weeks since the alleged contravention, which I am now also contesting.

Will update with more news, soon.
  • I've now had notification that the second invoice is cancelled. Just waiting for the third and final one to be cancelled!
