Role going....offered new role 10k less

My current job of 26 years may be going and i may be offered another role where the salary is 10k less....can i refuse and still be entitled to my redundancy package?

I would be losing a third....which i cant afford and my redundancy package is decent0 -
30% is probably enough to make it not a suitable alternative.
It may be the company don't force people into alternatives anyway what's their history in these situations?0 -

I'd take redundancy. The next round of redundancy will be based on the reduced salary. If you're in a final salary scheme (unlikely but still remotely possible) then you'd also be taking a 30% hit on your pension.0
