Role going....offered new role 10k less

My current job of 26 years may be going and i may be offered another role where the salary is 10k less....can i refuse and still be entitled to my redundancy package?

I would be losing a third....which i cant afford and my redundancy package is decent

30% is probably enough to make it not a suitable alternative.

It may be the company don't force people into alternatives anyway what's their history in these situations?

I'd take redundancy. The next round of redundancy will be based on the reduced salary. If you're in a final salary scheme (unlikely but still remotely possible) then you'd also be taking a 30% hit on your pension.
