I don't pretend to speak for the "majority of MSE users" but I find that sort of thing irritating. If you want your view confirming, say so, instead of leading people a merry dance until you get the answers you wanted in the first place.
Any reading of such from my posts is in your imagination. Your irritation was evident in your post and it was unfounded.
I only edited one line into my OP I did not change anything else or edit anything out. I simply put in that the neighbours agree the trees are mine and I marked that addition with "EDIT".
As to my other post (there was only one) I only confirmed that the top 4 m was not substantial,......... whispy, thin, and tried to show that 10 m was an approximation. In an attempt to stop people from getting too confrontational with each other (not with me, you can see I wasn't involved).
I don't mind people giving their opinions, but at the end of the day I am more than capable of determining how much to cut off at one time.0 -

But make sure everyone is wearing a hard hat. I once had quite a small Leylandii branch come down vertically on my head...if I hadn’t had the hard hat on, the cut-end of the branch would have penetrated my skull.0
