I made a mistake and put the wrong picture up, the buyer wants to return it . Found out in this case I have to pay return postage but do i pay after i get the item back or before? as the buyer has asked me for postage

Send them a prepaid label - it's much cheaper than having ebay impose their choice of return method on you (for which you will have to pay, of course).0

Don't know how to do that and do not have a printer do i refund when i get it back and what about the postage it cost me to send it? Tried phoning ebay but could not understand his accent0 -
You don't need a printer. Purchase the necessary label online (best bet is to send a label enabling them to drop off at their local Hermes parcelshop - myhermes.co.uk) and send to them electronically.
What about the postage it cost you to send the item? You don't get it back, if that's what you mean; you sent the wrong item.0 -

Don't just send them a label as it gets complicated, do it the simple way and get them to open a SNAD case on eBay. Once that is opened accept the claim allow eBay to send a return label, once item is back you can close the case and the original amount is refunded automatically, you get your FVFs back and no defect. eBay then add the cost of the return label to your account to be paid later.
Anything else is just complicated and will make it harder to get your FVfs back.
You will lose the original outward postage and the cost of the return postage and 20p in PayPal fees , but will get your FVfs back.if you messaround trying to send labels you could end up out of pocket for your FVFs. Just wish plain to the buyer that the case is for their benefit as it means the return is tracked and will automatically show up on eBay when it is in the post.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
