Have you looked at the matched betting thread? Is this what you're doing rather than ordinary on-line betting which is obviously risky?

good luck with the overtime and sorry to hear your OH didn't get his promotion. As he was in the running for a manager's job I'm sure he'll find something similar soon.

Thank you, hopefully we'll both find a new job soon!:D

I have looked at the matched betting thread but it all seems very confusing and too much to read on the pc the screen starts hurting my eyes! Ive told the OH to have a look through it he did but it confused him too!:rotfl:

Im just setting my OH up a quidco account as we speak so should make £100 without spending any money on that.

    hi all,

Ive been told i can do an extra 5 hours overtime next week, so thats another £25 extra to add on.:D

Had an ok day today, i went to use my activia coupon in tesco today and the SA got all fussy called 3 different people over to ask if i could use it they all said yes. Then the old woman would only let me have the £2.58 (the price of yoghurts) off the price of yoghurts instead of the whole £3.32! So she put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day! As its no skin off her nose, tesco get the full amount back! I hate SA' like that!

Now im off to fill up my tank with petrol with my 5p off a litre coupon!

    I love coupons!:D

  • Hey there - just read your diary. Sounds like you're doing well with stuff - looked into a new job anymore? I know it's a pain looking for work, doing that myself atm! I don't mean to judge but I find it a bit strange that you don't pay rent to your parents and don't work full-time at 24? I'm 25, have had jobs since I had my NI number, moved out a few years ago and before that paid rent (only £100 but still), so you're very lucky! :)

    Hi
Have just caught up with your thread. On the job front, have you considered doing some temp work to try out a different job part time? In nearby Southend, we have loads of call centres and all the agencies round here have temp positions including evenings only etc. You could try it out without burning your boats with your existing job and also these places are always advertising for permenant staff too.

    Just a thought............

hi, I know im very lucky not to pay rent to my parents! But they have seen how hard it is for low income first time buyers to get a house. So they dont want to charge me any rent instead they want me to save any extra money i have at the end of the month. Of course they want me to get more than 25 hours a week too! I do things in return for my parents like taxing them around and doing the garden and decorating for them to earn my keep!

Im still on the job hunt looking on jobcentre site and local sites. Im most probably going to get an evening cleaning job after i get back from my holiday. As its ive done office cleaning before and im a chambermaid at present. Ive just got stuck in a rut and depressed.

Your all gona think im silly but because i dont have much confidence im very picky about places that i will work for. For example the_cat said about call centre staff but i would be too shy to work in a place where lots of people work because of the new people i would have to meet. So i always pick small places to work for, as im afraid of being the new girl in a large company.

A home-based job would suit me down to the ground!
