I have decided to buy a new laser printer to replace my HP LaserJet 1005 which does not have windows 10 64 bit drivers.
Any suggestions for a replacement preferably wifi and not all that expensive?

Have a look at the Samsung Xpress M2070W
It has got Wifi and NFC and you can get cheap replacement toner.
The RRP is £130 but if you shop around you can get it for less the £100 and maybe around £70 next Friday.0 -

I have a Samsung M2835DW as I wanted a printer that included automatic duplexing, it's been fine although occasionally it loses the wifi connection and I have to re-do it.0

If you don't want to replace it it'll work with generic PCL4 or PCL 6 drivers. You can install it as a generic PCL4 or PCL6 printer using manual driver installation in Windows or by installing the Xerox Universal Printer Driver.
However...
My HP P2005DN died a few months ago. We replaced it with a colour laser/scanner/fax/email full duplex HP Laserjet M277 DW. Been happy with it so far. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

No it doesn't, you are confusing it with a P1005.
I've spent years trying to get the 1005 to work with 64bit windows.
Even HP's website says it cannot be done.over 73 but not over the hill.0
