Taken £25 as Sunday spends, filled petrol tank yesterday £51, used my 10p a litre off and as I needed Morfa area went to BIG Morrisons 3p a litre cheaper than my local, so £6 approx cheaper, called in Tesco for some choc as my mini Tesco not had any last twice £20, so getting low on budget, have £42 in saver stamps and vouchers for Morries will use those next trip.Do I need it or just want it.0

Spends from Sunday and Monday totalled about 54€. This leaves me about 55€ until next Friday. Definitely doable but might be hard to buy Christmas bits.. We'll see! No need to go to the shop until Friday, or possibly Thursday if we run out of fruit.
Meal plan:
Lunches: minestrone soup
Yesterday: 3 bean chilli with rice
Today: Mac&cheese
Tomorrow: 3 bean chilli enchiladas
Thursday: 3 bean chilli with jacket potatoes.
Friday: tapas
Saturday: work meal for me ( free) fish and chips for others.
Sunday: meatballs, mash and veg.
Hope everyone is having a good week!0 -

Hi all, hubby went to ald! yesterday morning as I'd forgotten to get something for his breakfast when I did the small shop on sunday. He picked up crumpets, bread, ham and tomatoes, all bits I had on my list anyway spending £4.13 I did the main shop yesterday afternoon and spent £37.21.
I've planned our evening meals until friday so will pop to the shop probably on thursday to get some bits to last over the weekend and into next week. Think the offers for veg start on the 20th so will probably try and do my Christmas shop then, as it's the last day that my older boys are in school.
I finally got round to moving and defrosting the freezer yesterday, also cleaned out the fridge whilst it was virtually empty. Based this weeks meals around what I took out of the freezer before popping it into my fridge freezer.
Going to make a soup tomorrow to keep me going for a couple of days as I've got 2/3rds of butternut squash and half a jar of red peppers that need using.

Just £8 spent, on a sack of spuds today, so we don't run out over Christmas when we have a houseful; the £1 I spent on a bag of Twiglets could be said to come out of the "entertainments" budget of £50 a month. That wasn't all spent last month, or in fact in October either, so I think a bag of Twiglets is quite justified! My excuse is that I've gone down with a streaming cold, so needed the vitamin B (or something - probably) and DD2 ate at least half of them anyway! Otherwise all is under control this week, for once...Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

There! And I was going to suggest disposable coasters or spraying them silver and hanging them on your Christmas tree!!! :rotfl:0 -

Thank you, will give some of those ideas a go, I've only tried them plain so far I think, but he seems to have gone off the flavoured mini ones too.
All 3 of my boys love sweet foods so will try and make some dessert type things with them to use them up. Hate to waste themGrocery Challenge 2024
