Carpet right

We have ordered our carpet from carpet right, but have decided to supply our own grippers and treads as they are charging a massive mark up which I cannot justify.

They have said it's £1 per square meter for them to fit what we have supplied which works out at £80-90. Do we just bite the bullet and let them fit them or is it worth us doing it?

Will we still have a year's fitting guarantee or would they try and say our grippers were to blame?

Thanks, though from our experience they will tell you anything to get a bit more cash out of you. They are charging £190 for something that costs £20 screwfix...

Hoping someone with some experience of using them can help

Yeah they've already charged you for fitting your own grippers.

We just left our grippers and door bars in the room and let the fitters get on with it all.

You can hardly expect them to guarantee the fitting if you did part of it. Although I'm not quite sure what a guarantee is supposed to cover, I don't think I've ever had a carpet "fitting" fail.
