Poor mobile phone reception in our House- Is there a Mobile phone reception checker

The reception in our for mobile phones in our house is terrible, apparently we are in a slight dip. Is there a web site that we can check that will show which provider will give us the best reception in our house. thank you

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you have broadband, you may be able to use your mobile phones over the Internet.

EE gave me a "Signal Box" which plugs into a broadband router and transmits an EE signal for anyone within range to use.

EE gave me mine free, but I've been with them a long time. They sometimes charge about £90

Best mobile checker is to put a sim for each network in the phone .

Vodafone offer a sure signal (for £69.99). That resolved the problem with no reception with them or anyone else in our house.
  • Do you have a new phone? Some providers let you use Wifi calling

E.g. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, wife has an iPhone 6 .. both use our home wifi (or any other wifi) to get phone calls. We are on Vodafone. I think EE supports it too, but O2 doesn't.

    ^^^ This is the winner.

They all have coverage checkers but none of them are 100% accurate and none of them can really say if you'll get a signal in the house let alone outside.

Three offer a free app, or some later phones don't need it, which allows your smartphone to make and receive calls over your WiFi connection. Calls and messages come and go through the same number and it uses the WiFi connection when the signal level drops. Only minor annoyance is that the call and message history appears in the app when WiFi is used, and not the normal place.

I have the same problem with my mobile.
Used O2 Tu Go ( went through Wi-Fi ) for years.
They are stopping the TU Go app at the end of this month.
    Gone to Three this week.
No better signal but they have a Three In Touch app which works the same as O2 TU Go.
Oh & best of all Three contract is only £5.00 per month not £9.00 !!
    HTH

    Victor2 was quicker............

Well the Three in Touch app might well be crap but better than nothing. Where I am I get no signal on any network never mind what the checkers say so I have to use in Touch.
