Email Rule

I have been entering competitions for a few months now and I am getting an awful lot of emails as a result. The email address is only used for competitions but I am worried I miss an email about a prize. I have set up a rule to hopefully find any winner notifications in my email but I wondered what words I should be looking for. So far I have: congratulations, prize, winner.
I would be grateful for any tips - I would hate to miss out on a prize!
2017 Wins: 2 tins of soup and 2 soup mugs, Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner, Brita Water Bottle, Bramley hand and body lotions.

Thanks toniq, I would never have thought of that.

Lucky Loo, I use a mac and in my mail I can create a smart mailbox which then gives me the options of filtering my mail by key words or phrases or sender etc which should work as long as I am searching for the right key words!

I too have set up rules. I use congrats, congratulations, winner and well done.
  • I have also "won" and "you've won" but it sometimes brings in emails with word such as "wonder" but definitely helpful.

Good shout on the RE too, will have to add that one to my list

Can anybody post an idiot’s guide for iPad? Is there a way to stop email with key words even downloading into spam folder? Takes me ages to check because of the eleventy million emails about bitcoins, Russian hotties, free spins bingo

I block all the spam ones, a lot of them somehow have managed to copy my own email address so they look as though they have been sent by myself.
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus

Hey Jambo. :) How do you block the spam ones, please? I have a Gmail address but use Thunderbird as my email client. :)

ETA - Ignore me! I think I've found a way to do it in Thunderbird using the QuickFilters extension. :)

Have a regular blitz and unsubscribe to as many as you can.

You should avoid signing up for mail unless you're forced to. Please don't think that ticking a box for junk will mean you stand a better chance of winning. It won't.

I get lots of newsletters and find a blitz helps, but I just read the headings/first lines at as regular intervals as I can. I also prefer to just do a regular search on gmail in case one has slipped through. I don't like the thought of relying on filters.
