Hoover/candy

I'm primary carer for my dad and I've had the misfortune of finding myself dealing with hoover/candy regarding a washing machine.its the 2nd washing machine I've had in less than a year and this one started playing up not so long ago.i followed instructions via hoover website and the last check I had to do was on the filter cap to remove and check. No matter what I tried the cap would not come off so I rang hoover to inform them of the faulty cap, they said so your ringing for a noisy washing machine I said no,a faulty cap. Anyway they sent a guy out cap eventually came off(apparently it was catching on the metal surrounding so preventing it from coming off),nothing was found in the machine, then machine was put on and water came out.engineer said you've a hole, part was ordered and had to wait for it to be replaced. Came today(so far 2 weeks with no washing machine when my dad's physical needs require washing being done daily) they don't prioritise customers,I've spent a fortune on launderettes and then the engineer asks me to help him remove the drum as he has a bad back! I refused,he asks me what the first engineer did and I said he told me there was a hole but found nothing so I explain to new engineer I want to know what's caused it before I pay anything,I walk away and 5/10 minutes later he says he can hear coins and shows me £1.20 but at no point in all of the removal of the drum do you hear coins clanking around, says insurance would be £6 a month or £130 one off fee,he rings through and all of a sudden it's now £8 a month so I refuse to pay and now I'm left with no washing machine,he then rings back and tells me I'm going to be charged £130 for a "service" fee as he didn't know how to "close the call". Really not happy with the bullying tactics and disgusting customer service.....any advice?
Thanks for reading

  • Put some paragraphs in your post then people might be more inclined to read it & offer help...............
  • Didn't realise that was a requirement for help to be offered. My mistake, must have overlooked that in the T&C's.
    Thanks for the heads up.

I wouldn't dare, for fear of receiving the same contemptuous reply as the previous suggestion.

    Contemptuous, or helpful?

Every week we see walls of text here, often more daunting than this one. It's disrespectful and counter-productive to ignore the needs of your audience when writing publicly.

If readers see a big wodge of text, most of them will move on.

So, if people want advice from others, they should set out their posts clearly and make them easy to understand, because human nature isn't going to change any time soon.

Sorry, must have been a little too cryptic. I was referring to the OP's reply to firefox's suggestion.
