I don't know why people are saying "battery" when I have already said the battery is good, you don't get 20 - 30 mins of cranking time out of a dead battery.
Because I have just had a very similar problem. All sorts of error codes thrown up. The engine turned over. The headlights were bright. It wouldn't start and the dash lights were having a major chimp out.
A new battery cured it.0 -
The wiring loom carrodes down behind the battery common issue0

You've not by any chance filled it with petrol have you? Subconciously thinking you were in the "other car".0

Nice red glowing battery light = its not charging, bit your still driving it so draining the battery with every journey or attempt to start it.
Keep trying and you will need a new battery as well.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The fuel problem is fixed now... It was the fuel filter seal had split, it was only fitted 2 weeks prior in a Citroen service, different dealership - who say they use genuine parts, must have fitted it badly. We will be speaking to them.
I have another problem now, when the AA guy was there he reset the faults, but when the AA and I towed it to the garage and left it outside and tried to lock with the fob, the alarm kept going off as soon as you press the lock button.
I thought that this would be fixed by the diagnosis and the repair, I thought the alarm error was linked somehow to all the problems (see original post about doors not locking) When I handed it over and described the problem I just said "not starting fuel problem" I did not think to mention the alarm. We had locked it with the key outside Citroen.
They told me they had repaired the fuel filter seal and said "and the alarm is not working"....
Are they expecting me now to pay another £50 to diagnose the alarm?
Can anyone help with this alarm problem please, could it have anything to do with the AA reading and resetting codes?
Or could it be down to a low battery? (there is no red battery light anymore)
As soon as the lock button is pressed the alarm goes off.
Someone suggested BSI reset
How do you do this on 2013 model without an ignition key, i.e do you press the start button?
I tried it and when I pressed the lock button for 10 seconds the window went up the doors locked and it appeared to be ok, but because the bonnet was open..the alarm went off after a minute or 2 . then the unlock relock caused the alarm just as before. I will try again and close the bonnet before pressing lock for 10 seconds.
Someone else has suggested remove the battery connect together +tve and -tve leads for 10 mins then refit battery.... will this work ? or not good idea?0 -
You are best off looking/asking on a Citroen forum.0

Have found out the alarm problem is linked to a short duration battery disconnect on this model. It causes this exact problem, other people who had it were in warranty.
Trying the home rest tonight but it may be the only way is through citroen or through someone with the right reset software.0
