Best iPad to buy?

  • I'm still using my iPad 3 - the wifi has limited range and there's always the odd website that seems sluggish to use now, but otherwise it's been great. Amazingly, the battery continues to be excellent.

I also bought a 2017 Surface Pro - I like it a lot (being basically a laptop replacement with full suite MS Office) but W10 is nowhere near as slick a tablet OS as iOS.

I've also got the iPad 3 but find its considerably slower than the iPad 4. As I posted previously the iPad 4 has no more updates to IOS 10 but the ipad3 has no more updates than IOS 9.
