Argos!

I purchased a baby changing bag from Argos and paid for it in their store a couple of months ago for my daughter. It was for home delivery only. I did not keep the receipt but have a text from Argos with the order number and confirmation of delivery. The bag's zips have broken and the elastic that holds the baby bottles has come away from the lining. It has only been used for 2 months. I contacted Argos and they said they would contact the supplier. The supplier emailed me and asked for photo's of the fault which I sent. They then said they agreed it was faulty and would like to offer me a replacement. I then received another email to say the bag was out of stock and they did not know when it would be in stock. Argos informed me I would be entitled to a refund as no longer stocked but they had to get the supplier to authorise this. Two weeks later and I am still waiting for supplier to authorise refund. I have called Argos numerous times who just tell me all they can do is keep emailing supplier. Does anyone know where I stand. Surely my contract is with Argos and not the supplier?

Comments

  • Yes. Contract is with Argos.

Remind Argos that the law says you should be refunded within 14 days and without undue delay.

How much was it and how did you pay?
