    Well done Hamburger!

Stupid (in several ways ..) landlord! But there is no requirement to even have 1/2 a brain or any sense to be a landlord:

Would they were all like you and Mossfarr, artful. <sighs> ;)

ETA: And the incomparable G_M, of course! Where was my half a brain?

well done, hate landlords who like to steal tenants money
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......
  • Thanks for the kind words....pleased to say the monies from both the DPS and Landlord were paid promptly and without any more stress and inconvenience.

I have to say that the 2 big things I took out of this process was that our court system is creaking to the point of broken - it simply took weeks to even speak to a human being and didn't reply to almost any of the emails/messages I left them. I did raise an official complaint but they haven't even got around to replying to that yet.

Secondly is the DPS system seems flawed to me - I think that tenants would benefit from a fixed window of time for the landlord to prove damage or get a court judgement before the money is returned to them. From my perspective I felt that I had to chase/harass all the way to get them do anything. Again I raised an official complaint with the DPS and never heard anything back on that either (seems to be a pattern emerging!)
