  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

DD2 due this morning, first time for ages, she has dropped her hours down to 4 days rather than 5.

We need to clear the shed, heard from the shed people yesterday, they will deliver the replacement shed on Tuesday, take down the other one and erect the replacement Thursday, collection of the bits on Friday. The warping is getting worse by the day now its colder, no way was it going to return to its normal shape.

OH has an appointment in the town this afternoon, so will take DD back and also go to Morrison. I have to go to Agos and collect a couple of things I have ordered, will do that at the same time. Means it will probably be dark by the time we set of home, going to so fritatta and salad for supper.

Everything is ready for the fair, we will pack the car in the morning ready to go off after OH has his siesta, hopefully it will not take long for us to set up. We spent over an hour yesterday pricing the stuff up. Fingers crossed I manage to cover expenses if nothing else. Need to sell a couple of expensive things to do that i.e. the Christmas tree skirt.
  • Good morning chums I am taking a friend down to canterbury today as she has a hospital appointment and doesn't drive .we will probably have a light lunch out afterwards to cheer her up as she doesn't get out much and even a trip to the hospital is an outing for her :)
Tomorrow os a 'health ' day as I have the hearing clinic in the morning and the dentists in the afternoon.a mini MOT I think :)
Hope every one is warm and safe ,the weather doesn't look very inspiring at all at the moment very grey and overcast

Have a good day chums what ever you are doing

    Morning all,

remind me not to drink after 9pm. I was awake piddling from 3am.... Blasted water tablets are only supposed to be active for 8 hours after taken. Like heck they are! By the time i got settled back in bed i needed to get up again.

A bit of a late start for me ive been on the phone all morning. Grump is finding it hard to get work. Its bits here and bits there. Even in the recession of 2007-2009 he didnt have problems finding work but he's finding it tough now. Even the long term job he was promised in February seems to be on hold. Youngest isnt having problems in his line of work. Youngest is a 'house basher' as Grump calls it and Grump is a 'commercial spark'. No doubting that the uncertainty of Brexit has something to do with it.

My little 'wobble' yesterday... A reminder that the anti D's are leaving my system. Ive got to learn how to cope with life now without my crutch or i'll be back to square one. Fingers crossed.

    Today i must

    [STRIKE]Vacuum throughout[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Send birthday money to South Africa[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Bleach wash the side of the house. It stinks of dog.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tea - Beef...Reminder to self... i must not overcook it.[/STRIKE]

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Hi all
Just wrote a post and lost it, so this is the short version :(
Only had 2hrs sleep last night so too tired to do it again. May try to have a nanna nap in a mo:(. Mr Fix It is already inspecting the inside of his eyelids :rotfl:.
Tea tonight is a ready meal, epic OS fail, but will have to force feed the Xmas cakes with brandy later if I have the strength.
Managed to finish the DGC Xmas presents today.
Take care all and hugs all round.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently

Gers - You get your flu jab at Morrisons? The supermarket?

Yes, in the pharmacy part. I get a voucher from the employers I do three days a month for and Morrisons accept them. In, fill in a form, bare an arm, small scratch, cover arm, sit a few minutes and out.

The pharmacist told me they had done 200 flu jags this year alone in that store (Anniesland).

Almost all my chores done, just DM to take to the docs and then I can rest up. Had a lovely drive down, cold clear skies with no hint of the overnight wind or rain. I bought a new crime short story book called ‘Bloody Scotland’ with contributions from a lot of well known Scottish authors. It’s off the back of the annual crime writers festival of the same name. That’s my down time sorted!
  • Back from my Canterbury trip and we stopped at a pub on the way home for lunch as I wouldn't take any petrol money, my friend treated us both.

The ploughmans was huge and we were so full we couldn't eat it all (two little old ladies together do not equate with a strapping ploughman :))

But the barman brought us some foil as we both had a big chunk of left over cheese each and some cherry tomatoes which we brought home and I shall have for my supper tonight ,still full from lunch :)

Weather isn't cold but that grey dreary looking sky so I'm glad to shut the curtains and close it off.

Just awaiting tthe boys coming in from school I've tidied the kitchen at DDs and prepped the chicken for their dinner and just drinking a quiet cuppa before the 'I'm starving Nanny ' boys come in :)

    Have a good evening chums

    Afternoon all

Hung a load of towels on the line before I went to the monthly Thursday knit and natter. Yes you've guessed it-there was quite a downpour before I got home. Luckily though towels are not too wet. Late lunch of soup made yesterday and DH had a bacon sandwich as well.

We are now enjoying a quiet sit down with a cuppa. DH has just scoffed a belgian bun. This is a silent reproach as I have not made a Victoria sandwich this week.

Dumpling I hope you can get a lift to see Becky this weekend.
Holly H ssh I bought a ready meal in ASDA today as I didn't take anything out of the freezer.

Well hugs and spoons have a nice evening folks and keep warm.

Lainey I love the idea of an equine pamper session; I hope Lulu appreciates what a lucky girl she is. :o

She is a real girlie and loves the attention LW unlike my dear old Bill who would start to fidget after just 10 minutes :rotfl:
I have to say it's a bit of a revelation to have a mare and a grey one to boot but luckily she will stand for hours being pampered and, after a lot of hard work this afternoon, she is now tucked up in her stable, looking pristine with a silky, clean mane and tail. I know it won't last and by the time I get there tomorrow she will have rolled in the mud :D but it's worth it to see her looking so pretty. The yard manager jokingly calls her Princess Pony which makes me roll my eyes but secretly love!
