Hermes oversize email

Not for the first time I have received an email from Hermes charging me £4.20 for an oversize parcel (I paid for small they say it is medium).
I was sure I got wrongly charged last time and so keep a record of all parcels. I know 100% I am right in that the parcel was very small, I have 50 boxes ready to send, all the same.
Anyone else get sent these charges when they know it was correct size & weight.

Have you checked the volumetric weight of the parcel? That can sometimes top a parcel over the limit of one side to another. What are the exact measurements and weight of your parcel and what is the maximum Hermes allow?

Also have you weighted them on different scales in case yours is inaccurate?l
  • Box measurements are well within their limits and weight is under 1 kilo where the limit is 2 kilos. It is a box I use all the time. I send around 10 every week, all in this same box. After being caught out before I measured the box and put these measurements into their website.

That still doesn’t answer the question about volumetric weight and the exact dimensions.

You say you sent the same boxes every week but are they all the same contents?
  • Box is 28 x 17 x 13. Weight is always under 1 kilo. It's a standard box I always use. After getting caught before I always check the weight but that's not what they are saying. They say the box is 50 x 35 x 14 which is huge. My Wife carried this and two others a mile to the shop. The quoted size would be too big to carry!
