organising photos on an ipad

I take photos on my iphone, they automatically transfer to my ipad, that's all good.
I then sort the photos into albums, on the ipad but when I look at the photos in the albums they are not in chronological order, they appear to be in random date order.
Anyone know why this is and how can I sort the photos in the albums into the order in which the photos were taken?

it's annoying when showing holiday photos to friends - here is day 1, now it's day 6, oh back to day 4 etc...........

Photos should appear in alphabetical order of the file names, e.g. IMG_001 then 002 etc. If you wish to change the order you could edit file names.
