Washing machine with separate programme and temperature controls?

Following my earlier post, it looks like my washing machine has finally bitten the dust. My chief requirements in a replacement machine are a digital display dial showing how long it has been running and separate temperature and programme controls, budget up to around £400. Can anyone recommend one with these features?

We use an LG model similar to http://amzn.to/2jsHh3y

As can be seen, the programme and temperature controls are different. Great machine especially for it's wash and dry capacity - 8 Kg each and it's energy efficiency.

    All the best.

Most will have a temp adjustment range for the program selected.

these days to get the eco ratings they make up the temp anywhy ona lot of programs and don't use the one displayed.

start with a £400 Beko model and then look for something better cheaper.

Another vote for LG. Mine's an old model (2009) but the newer ones still have separate temps & spin speeds.

That's one of the features I always insist on too, it's surprising how many machines don't offer it.

  • I have a Beko - a dial for the program, and then options for temperature and spin speed for each program (not every program allows every temperature option, for obvious reasons). It also gives a display showing how long the wash has left to do.
