I hope there is someone out there that can helpicon7.gif.

I bought the Epson CX6600 printer which is fantastic but have a problem when I switch it on, it disconnects me from my broadband connection which I find rather confusing. I uninstalled it and re-installed it in case I had done something wrong, but it is still doing it. It is connected via USB2.
Everything else works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong.

Lots of Thanks in advance.icon7.gif

Pat.

Hate to say it - could just be one of those usb weird things. I know someone that could not use their pda connected via usb when they were connected to broadband with a USB modem. Will your connection stay up if you turn the printer on before the pc?
Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

It did when I installed it, it was after when I turned it and turned it back on again.
I will try what you said and see what happens means I have to restart the comp so will let you know.

I tried that woo and I stay connected, but if I switch off and switch on again it disconnects which makes it difficult to print any stuff from the web ??.

But as long as I switch the printer on before the PC its OK, but I did'nt really want to have the printer on all the time.icon9.gif

    Any other ideas.

Thanks for your time by the way.icon7.gif

you could check for updated drivers for the modem and / or printer.
or could the printer be connect to the pc using a parrarell cable?
who is the modem made by?

I have checked woo and its alright to leave the printer switched on from before I put the PC on so I will manage that way for now, at least it does'nt interfere with anything this way.

(I was under the illusion that it would burn the motor out or dry out the inks leaving it on all the time like this, but it won't.)icon7.gif
