Hi
We are with Scottish Power and pay nearly 15p per Kwh
Does anyone have any provider that offers a better deal?
Thanks

It would depend on where you live as it varies even on the same energy provider. Try one of them comparison sites or use MSE one https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub
or use google https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=energy+comparison&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiEk6CdssDXAhVoLMAKHVNcDtcQvwUIJSgA&biw=1154&bih=979
I pay 12.41kWh with coop fixed deal and you can probably get a little cheaper than that0 -
The majority of providers have a tariff of less than 15p/kWh.
There are several factors that determine the cheapest tariff. Mainly:
1. where you live.
2. how much electricity you use
Most companies have a Daily Standing Charge(DSC) and this can affect the total you pay. Low users generally want a lower DSC, but higher users generally want a lower unit price per kWh.
You need firstly to determine how much electricity in Units(kWh) you use per year and enter that into a comparison website. Do not use how much you pay.0 -
As others have said you need to shop around using the comparison sites by inputting your annual consumption in kwh.
I'm in East Anglia and use an average of 7200kwh of leccy a year. I currently pay11.53p/kwh on a fixed deal which ends in a couple of weeks and have just signed up for 11.88p/kw for another year.
My standing charge has gone down by about 6p a day so I'll be paying around the same next year as this.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
