Travelodge deals are a myth!

Recent newspaper publicity showed a retired couple living in a Travelodge at a Supersaver rate of £15 per night. Now, unlike them, I don't wish to permanently live in one but I was looking at a 4/5 night stay in one. However, while attempting to book one online all that was available was either NOTHING UNTIL AT LEAST MARCH 2008:eek: or an odd 1 or 2 night stay.
This non-exisdent "deal" is on offer as long as you book at least 21 days ahead. I typed in locations all over the country but there were none available:mad: . Anyone had any success here, apart from an odd Sunday night in 3 months time:rolleyes:  .

There isn't much availability. Manchester to me seems the best but parking is not free. You can combine your stay with some £26 per night rooms but then you'll probably want to stay away on a Saturday night which you'll need to pay top whack for...

We had a fabulous trip around England and Scotland in May and all of the Travelodges that we stayed at were £15. I wouldn't call the deal a myth, it was great!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

I have totally agree we travelled round England this summer and every night at the travel lodge was £15.
The nights are there you just have to look hard for them.0 -
We stayed at the Covent Garden for 3 nights in August for £26 per night instead of the usual £95!0

Def not a myth.
I have had a week away this year at £15 a night0 -
I had a few £10 stays from a couple of years back and a few more £15 ones more recently.
The stuff that HappyMJ has posted above is a special £15 Flexible Rate limited offer. The £15 Supersaver deals (non-cancellable, non-refundable) have much more availability - you just need to keep a look out. This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
I got 3 nights together for a fiver a while back. I agree though, the deal seems to be tailing off. It's now three times the cost and there's much less availability.0

According to the newspaper The Davidsons don't pay £15 every night, I think a £8000 a year figure was quoted so on average about £22 a night. As they are residents they probably can get in the minute the offer rates are available.0

I'm looking for a weekday stay of 4 nights (Mon-Fri morning).
Cheked Travelodge site again: no supersaver rooms at all for Tues & Wednesdays for at least the next 3 months. Theres a few Mondays available and you may get a Thursday if you're prepared to move to another location.
So, myth upheld I would think.0 -
I stayed at the Basingstoke travel lodge 2 nights, £15 per night."Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0
