Hi, I'm after some help and support please. I want to claim PPI but I haven't got the account numbers, Year I took them out, any paperwork etc.
Could people please tell me in a simple way the steps and what I have to do to see if I'm entitled to anything as I'm finding it all daunting and terrifying :-S
Thanks:(

You're not entitled to anything. You need to make a complaint about how it was sold to you.
You write to the lenders, tell them you had PPI with them and why you think it was mis sold.
If you think you need more information about the accounts, you could ask them for it, possibly paying [STRIKE]£20 [/STRIKE] £10* for a SAR per lender.

Phone up the people you had credit with, ask.
Or go to their online presence and complain online.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
So what do I say? why do I think it was mis sold etc?0

Loan PPI, you would complain about single premium if it was sold by a bank or regulated body prior to roughly 2009...Anything sold by a broker or finance company won't be regulated prior to 2005. Sometimes there are ways round that, sometimes, there aren't.
Credit cards etc, more difficult, you either have to show it would never have paid out or you had sufficient savings or insurances elsewhere to pay them if you needed to.
Or you can just complain it was missold and let them find reasons, but they may or they may not.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I'm not aware that the price of a Subject Access Request has doubled????Deleted_User wrote: »possibly paying £20 for a SAR per lender.0 -
Oops.
Would you believe if it I said that £20 is the real price and they have been running a 50% off deal for the last 20 years?
No, me neither.
