How do you get your fibre?

Oats for breakfast...I bake my own wholegrain bread....LOADS of fruit and veg( 5 portions a day?....I often reach this my lunch....7 and higher is 'normal' for me) ...home made chunky soup adds fibre and is so warming in the colder weather we have now...a decent helping of pulses (chickpeas added to a chicken curry....lentils added to mince for bolognaise sauce...split peas in soup.....not consciously added for fibre...but it is tasty and saves money by bulking out the meat)
All of this means that I rarely lack fibre in my daily diet.... I also occasionally buy ScanBran crisp bread which I find very tasty, and is super-high in fibre.
One thing to remember is that if you up the fibre in your diet then you need to up the fluid too....drink lots of water...otherwise you can find the fibre having the opposite result to expected.0 -

That's really useful to know, I've always found porridge (which is high in fibre) glued me fast but I expect it's down to lack of fluids!0 -
Your best source of fibre is fruit and veg. Keep the skins on potatoes and on carrots when cooking them. I have porridge in the mornings as well.0
