morrisons sandwiches

morrisons make lovely ham sarnies....well they used to until recently.....

i like a plain ham sandwich as i dont like salad or mayo and didnt mind paying £1.69 for a fab plain ham sarnie from morrisons.

when they recently started advertising on tv about everything being made fresh in store their sarnies changed. the prices fluctuate, they use the thinnest bread possible, are tight as !!!!!! with the butter and the ham has 'teeth' in it (boney bits).

would anyone even bother complaining? ive taken my custom eslewhere but the local sandwich bar is more expensive (i know its money saving to make my own lunch for work but im a lazy swine)
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

Ants, I have suggested this before but if you like chicken then instead of using reprossessed/reformed/reconstituted gunge try pre-cooked sliced pure chicken breast from Iceland ... it is £2 for a 454g bag (which is no more than the other stuff) .. it even comes in a variety of flavours.

I lift mine out of the frezzer in the morning (or the night before), make the sarnies and by lunch time it is defrosted and tasty

  • I like Ham Sandwiches. I get a Loaf of Bread for 89p, some ham from the Butcher's Cooked Meats counter, some butter and a knife(re-usable). I then spread the butter on two pices of bread, toss the crust out for the little terns and tits, place ham onto bread and chomp away.

Nice sarnie and enough left over for tomorrows marmite soldiers.

To be honest, I don't like Morrisons - aside from their donuts, we last did our shop there over a year ago and we sat down to a meal in their cafe - and found a tree leaf in the salad.

Pointed it out to the person on the till who simply took the plate away and must have scraped the salad away and just put fresh salad on. Neither of us could stomach the rest of the food so we just walked out of the cafe and the supermarket - no response to our letters to the manager

thats morrisons foryou lol...used to work in the restaurant,i can sympathise with you,on the other hand some people just like to moan, for example a woman complained about uncooked fish(battered fish),and it was cooked,it was just where she put mayo inside it,and then said it was raw batter!!! cow

Ha! There's no point venting about shop bought sandwiches in an MSE forum it seems!
