Egg/Canada Square Operations

Hi There,
I have recently received a letter from Canada Square Operations inviting me to open a 'new type of complaint' about PPI on an Egg product.
I recall making a complaint a number of years ago which was rejected IIRC - though the details are a little hazy given the passage of time (circa 2010).
I am invited to confirm account numbers, name, address, dob and sign.
I do not have the account number to hand. But it says to fill as much as possible (they clearly have access to the details as they have tracked me down).
Would it be ok to return without the account number, or, should I brave the attic to try and track down the communications regarding the last complaint before proceeding?
Also, has the time limit been lifted on these types of claim as I recall another claim being rejected around the same time with another provider (and it might be worth revisiting it).
Thanks.

You dont need the account number. Although maybe include a copy of the letter they sent with the form if there are no identifying references on the form. Also, has the time limit been lifted on these types of claim as I recall another claim being rejected around the same time with another provider (and it might be worth revisiting it).
No. Your complaint remains rejected with this and the other one. This is a new issue where the commission may be in excess of 50%. You get a refund of the excess above 50%I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Well, there is nothing to stop you asking your other lender to check if you are due a refund of commission under the Plevin Ruling.stinkybeard wrote: »I recall another claim being rejected around the same time with another provider (and it might be worth revisiting it).
Do keep in mind that these are NOT an opportunity to re-state your original PPI mis-selling complaints.
Those complaints failed.
This is solely concerned with any undisclosed commission over 50% you may have paid.0 -
Thank you both for the detailed replies, much appreciated.
I have taken a copy of the form and returned it completed without the account number.
I will look to dig out the paperwork for the other item before the deadline in 2019.
Thanks again.0
