Who is the 'highest' person to address a complaint to at Asda HO?

Hi all,

I am sorry if this is in the wrong place, not sure where else to put it. Mods, please move if need be.

Please can someone tell me - who is the highest person to address a complaint to at Asda, please. I am writing to the store but want to CC the letter to head office (I have the address) but can't find any details newer than 2006. I don't want to address it to someone who doesn't work there now (they come and go quickly it seems!!).

Also, have you ever complained to HO and how long did it take to get a response.

Thank you.

I posted a letter to ASDA Head Office about beer that was out of date by 9 months...which made my husband ill. No reply.

  • You need to address it to the Managing Director. You would be best to ask for his/her name at the Customer Services desk. No doubt this will take ages!

In my opinion ASDA dont care about customer relations anymore. I had problems with a mail order damaged dvd and never got a satisfactory resolution. Even complaining to head office merited no reply.

For really poor service try ASDA credit card

I guess the company are just interested in flogging loads of stuff and are very matter of fact about a few unhappy customers.

It's not just about something small (apologies for anyone who has complained in the past and not got a reply, I am not implying that your complaint was not worth it).

My 3 year old son walked off when I was in one of those huge Asda/George stores and I was in the middle of the store, and I could not find him at all. I asked the Shop Floor Assistant behind me (who must of watched me running around calling his name) to help me twice and both times he shrugged his shoulders and went back to putting stuff on the shelves - all I wanted was for him to get some help so I could stay with the trolley in case my son came back to that spot looking for me or for him to say he would look out for him but he did nothing. It ended up with me flapping around for 10 minutes not knowing what to do and him being lost in their store for 15 minutes. I want to know why the SFA ignored my 2 requests for help.

We shall see then I guess.

Thanks for your help, I am sending them Special Delivery, the main letter to the store manager and then another letter and a copy of the letter to the Managing Director. I want an apology for being ignored that is all and I want to find out why SFA did not help me or get help for me.
  • I too have writen to ASDA with no reply.

I complained to my local store manager about some out of date rice I was given from the curry counter, I didnt notice until I got home and it was too late to do anything (OH on way home from work, peak traffic and 2 hungry children) so I phoned. They made a note and when I next went into the store I was given complete new set of everything I had bought from curry counter plus extras and bottle of wine. So maybe its worth keeping at a local level. I didnt even make a big fuss.

  • If YOU lost your son in the street would you want to know why the man at the bus stop did not help?

learn from it any think yourself lucky, if you give your son chance to walkoff you are also leaving yourself open to him being taken.

it is not the SFAs job to find your son.

I did not say it was his fault he was missing. I would however like to think if I asked the man at the bus stop if he had seen him he would not ignore me.

People are PAID at Asda to work there - they wear their 'happy to Help' badges or whatever. He is clearly not doing his job he is being PAID to do and I would like to complain about that. If you ask someone to help you then you at least expect a response.

Children wander off all the time and I turned my back and he was gone, in the time it took me to run up the aisle I thought he had gone he had clearly gone a different way, thanks for your support though. Thank god he did not get taken as it clearly would have been my fault for not having him tied to me with a peice of rope like a dog!!
