Starting a business on ebay

Hi everyone! Hoping someone can help me with what could potentially be stupid questions...!
I have been selling off a lot of my stuff on ebay to get some wedding funds together and it's going so well that I would like to start buying stuff with the intention of selling it, so I understand I need an ebay business account and to submit tax returns to HRMC.
I also go to work so pay tax on my earnings.....where do I look for info on what I need to do to start doing all this? Ie Hints and tips, basics and legalities etc.

I have been selling some things that I received free with another purchase [that ive kept for personal use]....in future if I buy stuff with the intention to sell it instead and receive GWP with them...would the GWP need to sell through my business account or my personal account? What happens in this case if I'm keeping some and selling some instead? Or does this just muddy the water and I should keep things completely separate?

You'll likely have free business advice centres around you. Best way of finding them is to contact your local council or library. You can also get in touch with HMRC they have free workshops both online and offline and lots of advice.
As regards accounting stuff, the HMRC can help with that. As far as I know you can do it any way you like as long as you account for it. Personally I'd keep them separate as I'm good at losing stuff. You may find a local accountant that will give free/discount advice if there's a chance you'd be their client.
