The bank are now saying I posted £560 !!! I don’t have a lot of money, £660 is a lot for my to post at one time , so I definitely know that was the amount . What do I do if the bank try to deduct £100 from me ????? I’m waiting on a call from the manager.
This is probably in the wrong forum section anyway, but...
What evidence have you that you deposited £660 and not £560? I would imagine all the evidence would be on the Bank's side, that you only deposited £560. I'd guess the banks have stringent checks on cash deposits, possibly cctv overlooking the clerks doing the counting.
Where did the £660 come from? Why use an ATM to pay in that much? Was there anyone with you?
I would be amazed if the bank had miscounted the money and not double checked before calling you.0
