Broken Economy 7 meter - how will night time rate be charged

I have an economy 7 meter with npower in a student rented property. We moved into the property in July 2016 and our night time (low) meter reading has not changed since we moved in. Our normal (day) meter reading has been changing.
I have been in contact with npower and have been trying to rearrange for them to send an engineer to fix the meter for 4 months now but due to various reasons this has not happened yet.

On our bills we have been charged for our day use (our last bill we used 634kWh over 94 days) but we did not get charged anything for our night use.

I was wondering what will happen when our meter finally gets fixed.
Will we owe the electricity company more money because our night time usage has not been recorded? Or has our night time usage just been recorded by the day/ normal meter reading and we have been paying more than we should have because our night time usage has been charged at the more expensive day rate?

Thanks for your help

Been faulty since July 2016? Is it not now November 2017?

Well the answer to your question is that your usage for the relevent period will be estimated.

Taking regular (monthly) meter readings and submitting them to the supplier would not only have highlighted this problem much, much earlier, but also would have ensured accuarte billing (as soon as the faulty meter was replaced)

It is quite possible that the night readings have been deliberately disabled by the supplier. This happened in my case by taking the clock out of use so all consumption, including night consumption, was recorded as daytime usage. Have a look at your meter late at night and early in the morning to see if it's turning. And if there is a separate time clock, is it operating?

If you are being charged on a single rate, check your bills to make sure you are not on an E7 tariff, as the daytime rates are higher on E7 than they are on a normal tariff.

I remember a few years earlier payments increased from what was then 45 to 90 for 18-months vi SP.
As I forgot to enter meter readings online I returned from 1 week holiday called SP and was then
advised one of my e7 meters hadn’t moved for a few years!
