Anyone had any experience of this?
It's not a purchase. My in-laws sent my kids presents from the US. Despite me telling them constantly they managed to label the goods incorrectly and we ended up with a £21 VAT charge plus handling. There was about £10 of Vatable goods total in the box, the remainder was books and kids' clothes. They neglected to put "children's" before clothing so it was classed as adults and they listed the books as gifts.
Anyway, is it worth the hassle to bother?
Parcel went from USPS to Parcelforce in the UK.

I don't know, but it was a £5.50 phone call to DHL and a lady just telling me it's not their fault to get them to send an invoice for duty (£15) to the correct address.Anyway, is it worth the hassle to bother?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Is it worth the hassle? Depends how you need the £21 and/or how burning your sense of injustice (not to mention frustration with your inlaws) is.0

Fair point(s). I often like to equate how much time something will take with my level of outrage. By that valuation I could probably make this a part time job for a few months. Is it worth the hassle? It is pretty annoying to needlessly pay £33 for a box that I probably wouldn't value at that anyway. Anyone else and I'd have had it sent back without paying.
Also annoying is that they've done it before and we keep telling them not to.
I'll probably give it a go and see what happens..0
