Morning,my switch completed on the 10th,recieved a letter showing all my d/ds.as this is my one and only bank account now will I need to contact my works payroll with new bank details?.thanks for any replys.

Worthwhile checking with your employer that they are directing your salary to the new account.0

It also makes sense to have at least 2 current accounts with different banking groups so you have access to your money if/when one banks systems are down, your card is declined, or they lock your account for whatever reason.0

There are plenty of offers with nationwide, TSB, HSBC etc0 -
It would pay you (literally!) to set up a 'donor' account which you just keep ticking over until you see a switch offer that you like.
Generally speaking the easiest way to do this is to open a standard no-frills account with your existing bank- it's not rocket science!
It's always worth contacting anyone/business which credits your account to check that they have the new bank detailsBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
