Removing screw after head snapped off (tail light).

Had no luck removing it with lots of effort. Only managed to snap a bit more off.
Considering putting a soldering iron on the end of the screw for a long while to thoroughly heat it up (the soldering iron I have made a screw too hot to hold), and then maybe spray it with some of this stuff Pipe Freezing Kit 220ml - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (unless I can find a can of Loctite Freeze and Release somewhere) the only problem is it will no doubt damage the surrounding plastic/reflector with the differences in temperature and chemicals from the spray. Any thoughts?

Didn't you try the mole grips? I can't see how any vice (or any other tool for that matter) could ever come close to these as you are able to pre-tension the jaws to a level that you could never achieve with a vice or anything else!
I am not sure what you hope to achieve with a soldering iron or pipe freezer :eek:0 -
I'd like to see a pic - and can you see the back side of the light assembly (possibly where you change the bulbs, can you see the screws coming through there? - a pic?0
