Laminate flooring on landing

Hi,
I shall be fitting new carpet on the stairs and Quickstep Eligna oak laminate on the top landing. What is the best way to join these two? Shall I fit the laminate to the edge of the landing and have the carpet go up the riser, or put some of the carpet on to the landing (about a tread's width) and then have the laminate meet up with it?
Which is best from an aesthetic point of view and won't cause a trip hazard?
Thanks in advance for any info and advice

Personally I’d do neither and carpet the landing.0

Recently had our upstairs laminate done. We choose Flooring Republic's 12mm Prestige oak.
So the handyman brought the top stairs carpet 10cms in into the landing and used a "carpet to laminate" threshold like http://amzn.to/2jmKtgU
Personally, I think putting the laminate till the edge of the the landing will not prepare your feet for the change of surface texture and may lead to tripping depending on the texture of your laminate.
All the best.Hi,
