No, a (possibly partial) refund is perfectly acceptable.

Because once the goods are more than 6 months old, the Consumer Rights act allows the retailer to make a deduction from any refund to take into account the time that the buyer has had use of the goods for.

Generally this doesn't happen with warranties but if seeking a remedy under your statutory rights, it can and does happen with some retailers.
  • o what your saying is I should just expect the full refund and get a new tv else where ?

yes it's the best offer you will get, they are under no obligation to do anything else.

If they're giving you a full refund (after 11 months) you can probably buy a better TV. Think about it.

It is a very fair offer, which means you have had a free tv for 11 months.
