  • I usually buy books as gifts for the age group the OP is asking about. There is an excellent selection at The Works online (10 for £10) or in store (3 for £5). A fair few are by very well known children's authors and normally retail at £5.99 or £6.99 each, so 3 or 4 books make a good present.

    I buy these regularly and find it is useful to keep a note of which books I have gifted to which child, that way I don't duplicate them.
