Any ideas on getting a car on £600 budget per month?

By march/April next year, I'll be on at least £2,169 per month.
Is a PCP ok then?
No, £600 a month is still too big of a chunk from your earnings to commit to a car.
At your age. you should strive to save 15-20 grand in hard cash. Having that much cash in your bank will give you some options in life. You can afford to have an employment gap and not stress about where the next paycheck is coming from. You can go back into education, become self employed or take a chance at a different career choice. You dont have the freedom to do that if you are living paycheck to paycheck because all your wages are going on rent, food and loan repayments (pcp).
You're not going to save anything if you're spending £600 on a car each month.
The above advice is sound, save up £3k and get a decent 2009/10 model car. that you own outright and you can sell if you dont need a car.0 -
£1600 per month and you want to spend £600 on a car! are you kidding me0

The OP has already said that they do not intend to spend £600 on a car.0

The car I'm currently driving is not mine, but I've got insurance on it. I pay the owner of the car £60 to put me on the policy.Manxman_in_exile wrote: »Errr.... I'm no expert here, but is that a problem?
EDIT: Not for the OP perhaps, but for the policy holder?
OP, is the car's insurer aware that you are the main or only driver of the vehicle and not the owner, who they think is the main driver? Insurers *really* don't like this.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
