Using Leak sealer and inhibitor when servicing Combi Boiler

Getting our boiler serviced next week and I am planning to use a leak sealer like http://amzn.to/2i7rbsz and an inhibitor like http://amzn.to/2i5nxiW .

Leak sealer because we seem to loose about 0.5 bar pressure per month due to weepy leak (there is one is in our bathroom and perhaps more in other inaccessible places). Inhibitor because we moved into this 1960s house about 8 months ago and the the radiators are donkeys years old and I don't know when was the last time they did that.

My question is - is it okay to use them together? Also, would the gas engineer do this as part of the service or would he demand extra for doing this.

Thanks in advance.

We assume the pressure release valve has been checked? .5 bar PW is quite big.

Why don’t you get the leak in the bathroom fixed and when the boiler is serviced get the expansion vessel checked/ recharged and your leak will probably disappear, it takes a average of 5litres to go from 1.5bar to zero so to be losing a third of that over the course of a week isn't a great deal, the leak at the bathroom is likely to be enough to cause it. If you still have issues a couple of weeks after then get the leak sealer put in.

    Thanks Alex.

It's 0.5 bar per month. So, that's roughly 2 litres month.

With regards to fixing the bathroom radiator - yes, I am actually getting it replaced with a towel rail which is something we planned to do anyway - I was quoted around £250 for supply and fitting of towel rail, do you think it is a fair quote?
