Could anybody help?

An elderly friend of mine is looking for a savings account for about 8-10K. Due to the fact he does not have internet access he would like an account that allows you to phone for transfers as well as using the internet - this way he would not have ro rely on me all the time.

Do a search on Moneysupermarket - input the type of account (easy access / 1 year bond etc) he / she wants ...... and the table on the right hand side will list how the account can be managed (Internet / phone / branch / post etc)

Presumably you need one that has both internet and 'phone? The interest rate is over towards the left :-

the post office instant saver is a good account for anybody who does not have internet access, and pays 6% intrest, which i think is a good rate, for an account that does not rely on internet
