I'm currently in the process of moving my money out of my ING savings account as I feel their customers service is poor and they lie by saying "same rate for all".
What is the Abbey Esaver account like? It seems a lot better than ING.
I know that their are better rates out their to be had but I feel that I could trust my savings with abbey.

They seem to be OK with nice features for a savings account - set up your own list of payees and schedule payments etc - so you're not tied to your bank account.
The downside is the rate is subject to a 'bonus' and slips away after 6 months to just 5.45% I think so you wouldn't want to keep money in there for long anyway. (It is possible to draw down to a nil balance and interest is paid monthly btw) For true 'savings' you would have to accept the restrictions of being linked to a current account again and could then get well over 6% on range of ING-like accounts.
Other than that -hope that you never need to talk to anyone at Abbey about a problem because their customer service is poor......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
