They had packs in my local asda and in WH smiths0

Thinking of buying this package - can you get Discovery channel and National geographical on it ?0
-
The Discovery and National Geographic channels are all in the Knowledge mix, but you don't get them through the standard freesat package (IE, not after the first 6 months).
It's the main reason right now that we've not downgraded as the kids watch these channels more than the kids TV a lot of the time.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
Just bought the pay once for sky from Argos yesterday, phoned sky and they are coming on Wednesday to fit.
Things must of changed as they asked for no credit card / banks details up front. All they said was that they would send out a direct debit form for me to fill out should i decide to continue my sky viewing after the 4 months was up.0 -

Same here when I booked an install yesterday, plus although the box said I got fixed set of 4 mixes for 4 months the person on the phone asked if I wanted to change those mixes so out went style in favour of Kids0 -
purchased this on sat from Tesco, but had to return it as Sky refused to fit if it's not connected to a phone line. It don't say that on the box, but the cocky scotsman workign for sky insisted it was in the T&C's and tesco should've told me at point of purchase.
I dumped my phone line in january as I have no need for it, mobile phone & mobile broadband is all I need & costs me less.0 -
Nothing about phone line connection on the box, in the leaflet or said when I called to arrange install. Wonder if its different deals from different retailers as they did ask where I bought mine from (Dixons online, £10 back with Quidco)0

All Sky customers (so far as I know) must be connected to a phone line. This is for Sky to know what you are the rest of the Sky customers are watching for market reseach purposes. It is in the T&C, I'm afraid.:mad:0 -
I have this package and don't have a phone line. Had to pay a bit extra though.Respond to every call that excites your spirit.0

You can still get it installed but you have to pay £25 extra for no phoneline0
