PCN from Britannia Parking, advice please

Hello!
I've seen there are lots and lots of threads about parking fines and I've read through a fair number of them.
My first reaction was not to pay. Then I tead about the appeals etc and wasn't quite sure if I'd be able to do it right and don't want to end up paying more.
Then, still shocked to have been issued the PCN in the first place I was inclined to pay it just to make it go away and forget about it. After all it is cheaper within the first 14 days right?! Well, I couldn't.
When I entered the PCN number and the registration online it couldn't find it. Does that now mean I can forget about it? I took screen shots from the details I entered and the message it showed afterwards. But I have refrained from contacting them further, because obviously I don't want to make them aware of me.
But I also don't want it to bite me in the !!!! when they contact me later and I haven't done my duty.
So might it be safer to appeal? I'd be really grateful for advice and assistance.

Your best bet is to just send Britannia Parking the blue template appeal as it is from post #1 of the NEWBIES sticky/pinned thread.0

if this was a windscreen ticket , wait for the NTK to come in the post
if its a postal NTK pcn to the keeper, use the blue text appeal to appeal it

Bad idea.
Good.Well, I couldn't.
Quite right! No-one here pays a single penny to Britannia, EVER.don't want to end up paying more.
Here's my standard view about them:

Their NTKS are among the easiest to appeal & win at POPLA, as long as you never say who parked.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have a look at their Companies House details

They are hardly impressive. Also, their offices, wedged in between two estate agents, could do with a lick of paint. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
It was at Billy Winters, Ferrybridge. There was a thread here before, have a look at the parking lot and signage - it is disgusting. There are photos in that thread from April and it hasn't improved since then. We went there for a public event and got waved in by an attendend (we thought it was great someone was trying to regulate the wild parking up and down the causeway!). No chance with everything that was going on to see the signs in the dark, as there is no lighting there either.0

It was a windscreen sticky. Just to confirm because I get confused easily and want to get this right: Do I wait for the NTK or do I appeal at day 26? I thought I appeal at day 26 because that is about the time that they send the NTKs out. I don't really get why I wouldn't wait for them to contact me in the first place... Sorry, sometimes I'm a bit slow0

Yes send off at day 26 (provided they accept electronic appeals), if they only accept by snail mail, send a couple of days earlier with free cert of posting from the PO counters.
In order for the PPC to attempt to invoke Keeper liability they must obtain RK details from the DVLA between days 28 and 56. By you sending in your appeal (with your name and full postal address) many PPCs ‘save’ themselves the £2.50 fee they need to pay the DVLA for your data, by using the information you give them.
They then usually take around 35 days to deal with your appeal, during which time their 28 - 56 day window to obtain your data from the DVLA has closed. Simple, but effective strategy.
No DVLA-sourced data, no keeper liability. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Because day 26 is JUST BEFORE they can go to the DVLA, and appealing on that day often makes a PPC completely forget to get DVLA data, and thus forget to issue a NTK at all = YOU WIN!I don't really get why I wouldn't wait for them to contact me in the first place...
