There was a bloke on Usenet in 1996 who thought prices would crash more. He was briefly on MSE in about 2003 and I last saw him online - still renting - in 2010. That's 22 years waiting for a crash; as long as Crashy.
Just think - if they'd bought in 1996, they'd be three years away from paying off the mortgage, and from owning outright something whose price had quadrupled.0 -

I think Crashy already owned a house in the mid 90's, and then he sold it shortly afterwards, so he would have probably paid off his mortgage already by now.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I have been expecting a crash since 2008, that does not add up to 22, sorry :rotfl: Can I respectfully suggest that you learn to count, and give the internet a break for a while, it isn`t doing you any good ranting away to the same half dozen posters every day, and nobody really cares what nonsense you were lapping up online in 1996 anywayA work colleague of mine was telling me about their relative who has been more or less sectioned and is receiving counselling for addiction to their smart phone, it is a dark road, step back and run towards the light!

OK, yes we have a housing shortage, a massive one even. But we also have an economy and banking system that will collapse should we address that problem. I put this to HPC, who will get their way, it's a no brainer. So sadly the Alpha males, the stronger among us will just carry on while HPC.com festers in their pit of despair as they get sand kicked in their face for another 20 years. It's one step closer to natural selection which is badly needed in this country. I am posting this sat in a ski lodge with a gorgeous companion accompanying me, winners and losers, that's life0
