How long should it take for a cheque to clear when paying off a Nationwide credit card?
I paid in a cheque on Saturday at my local branch of Nationwide and Barclays.
It is now Friday and the Nationwide cheque hasn't cleared whereas the Barclaycard one cleared on Wednesday. :think:

If you want payments to clear faster, use a method that does so, like Faster Payments.
Some companies are switching to digital imaging for cheques, taking a day or two from clearance times, but it is still a slow method of payment.
